Transparent and opaque
Transparent colors let the paper and earlier layers show through, so they suit glazing: building color in thin layers, each one painted after the last has dried. Opaque colors cover what is beneath them, which is useful for light details over dark areas.
The other grades: semi-transparent (30), semi-opaque (26) and opaque (29).
